What is Puppy Tennis?

Puppy Tennis is a new format to help kids ten and under learn and play the game. To make it easier for them, we changed a few things. The court sizes. The racquet sizes. The balls. The scoring system. Even the net height.

Now any child between ages five and ten can start playing tennis almost immediately-even if he or she has never picked up a racquet before.

Like other popular youth sports, Puppy Tennis stresses the importance of play and team competition. Which means that even more kids will have the opportunity to experience this new format, have fun playing with their friends and develop skills that will become the foundation of their game.

PUPPY TENNIS COMPETITION
Competition for kids 8 & Under and 10 & Under

Objective –
To promote competitive tennis with modified balls to the kids in age groups of under 8 &10.

The proceedings of the competition are as per the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Play & Stay.

All competitions are single day events on a weekday or a weekend.

Court size and balls - 8 & Under- Red Court and Red Balls
10 & Under- Orange Court and Orange Balls.

Ranking System

10& Under -
The KSLTA rules and policies apply for this category as a State Ranking event . Points are as follows
Winner - 5 points, Runner-3 Points , Semi Finalist- 2 Points , Quarter Finalist- 1 Point

8 & Under - Non Ranking System,objective is to play matches and feel competition. All ITF Play & Stay tennis rules and regulations apply.

All players are required to send a Date of Birth proof while registering for the event.

You can expect 9 competitions for each event during the duration of each year (January-December).

Please note the event uses ONLY modified balls as recommended by the International Tennis Federation(ITF) and appropriate size tennis courts.

Competition format,scoring system may vary depending on the number of participants.

Registration for each event is Rs 250/-.
